Star Bright

A Star

It’s not the gifts,
Or fancy trinkets
We get on Christmas morn,
The true gift came that glorious day,
When Jesus Christ was born.

We rush around,
To buy the things
We think will bring us joy,
But our true happiness and hope
Came as a baby boy.

A Star shone bright
Around the world,
For all in hope to see,
The news of our salvation,
A child to set us free.
