Martin Luther King, Jr. led a movement that gave millions of people small victories that we take for granted- the simple dignity of sitting in the front of a bus, going into a restaurant through the front door and being able to sit down to order a meal, drinking from whatever public water fountain you’re close to when you’re thirty and much more. Do what you can to honor the birthday of this great man. Attending ceremonies is a good thing, but help make his dream real. Help someone else. That was the legacy Dr. King most wanted to be remembered for- that he tried to help somebody. Indeed he did!
