Looking out for number one seems almost to be an instinct when we come into this world. Just watch any toddler screaming, “Mine!” when another child even touches a toy, even if that toy has been cast aside because of boredom. Yet we do learn to cooperate. Still even as adults that toddler comes out in us at times. We even hear from some folks that this world is dog eat dog so you better watch out for yourself.
