Luisa Harris-Stewart is a fantastic example of someone who did not let the statement, “But it’s never been done before” stop her.

LeBron James and his mother Gloria James honored Luisa Harris-Stewart for her many accomplishments on and off the basketball court during Black History Month. This legend was the first African-American woman to be inducted into The Basketball Hall of Fame. Standing tall at 6 feet three inches, Ms. Harris-Stewart was a star player in college and is an Oympic Medal winner. In keeping with National Women’s History Month Be Encouraged is kicking off March with a salute to a great hoopster. High five!
